Welcome to Pumas!
Sometimes learning will take place in class groups (M or T) and at other times, children will work in groups across the whole year group. There will be opportunities for small groups to work with Year 4 for reading, writing and maths.
We will continue with Forest School and Listening Ear nurture programs. We will use our Secrets of Success to help us to learn and grow: work hard, concentrate, push ourselves, imagine, improve, understand others, don’t give up and try new things. We encourage the children to be independent and look after their belongings and themselves in school. Children are welcome to bring in their own pencil cases, although there will be plenty of pens and pencils in the classroom.
We enjoy being creative and active learners. There will be craft, construction and sports activities on Friday afternoons as part of Golden Time.
We will remember the school values of love, trust, honesty, respect and friendship and develop our understanding of British Values: democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance.
We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning and new experiences.
